Duncan Gilman

Duncan Gilman is a sought-after speaker and consultant on social media implementation and internal training. His expertise is teaching businesses and social media managers how to create engaging, personal, people-focused relationships with customers and prospects. In his role as Dean of Students, Duncan has written and taught hundreds of on-demand social media marketing classes for the Splash Media U program. As a social media manager, he has developed and maintained online profiles for dozens of clients from a variety of industries.

A graduate of the University of Texas (Austin)/ College of Communication, Duncan’s background mixes marketing and video production, and his Telly Award-winning work can be seen on A&E and Discovery Network’s Military Channel. Duncan and his wife and daughter live in Portland, where he is involved in several community and professional organizations.

Paul Slack

Paul Slack author of social rules

Paul Slack joined Splash Media with more than 20 years of direct marketing experience. He got his first taste of web marketing consulting in the 1990s as the Internet began to make its presence felt in the business world. Those early days gave him a strong foundation in search engine marketing/search engine optimization (SEM/SEO). Paul built on that as CEO of WebDex Media Group, a Dallas-based firm founded in 2000 that provided strategic planning, SEM, web-based lead generation, online public relations, and customer acquisition programs.

Paul helped Splash Media become one of the fastest growing, most experienced social media marketing firms in the country. In early 2012 Paul added the title of President of Splash Media U, taking the reins of his company’s social media marketing training and certification program. Today he has started a new agency called Vende Social. He is also in demand as a featured speaker on social media and search engine marketing, and is author of SOCIAL RULES! for Entrepreneurs and Small Business: A Common Sense Guide to Social Media Marketing.
